You walk into a perfectly appointed home and the first thing you notice are the stunning views of the mountains. The property has enough places to escape if you’re looking for some quiet time, with large rooms and open spaces. The interiors are built with guests as the foremost thought, with elegant décor and a high degree of comfort. You’re not going to find another place with heated bathroom floors in town, for starters. Surrounded by hundred year old trees, close enough to the centre of activity in the area, yet far enough to escape the annoying presence of other tourists. This is the place to stay in Shimla, although just one trip might not be enough.

I had the most wonderful stay at Anita's beautiful and sprawling home in Shimla...beautiful views, lovely interiors - very neat and clean, heated floors (winter visit), delicious food and just about 20-25 minutes walk from the hurly burly of Mall Road!
